In light of Malaysia having lost a third of its workforce overseas, Kelly Outsource and Consulting Group (Kelly OCG) is upskilling the capabilities of Human Resource practitioners to halt the country’s brain drain.
Enter Kelly OCG’s new generation of internationally recognized certification ensuring HR practitioners are trained to attract, develop and retain the country’s top talent.

According to a World Bank study, some 1 million Malaysians chose to work in countries like Singapore, Australia and the United States because of better salary and benefits.

The government has tried tackling this problem through its GTP and ETP.

But what can Malaysia’s pool of HR practitioners do to manage such scarce talent and prevent them from leaving the country.

Kelly OCG Asia Pacific Vice President Raja Anthony Devados believes HR internationally recognized certifications will help raise the bar of HR professionals in Malaysia.

They include the Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)

Kelly OCG hopes to double the number of internationally certified HR practitioners in Malaysia from the current 20 thousand to 40 thousand by the end of 2016.

These certifications also enable HR practitioners to better manage today’s workforce spanning 3 generations of Baby boomers, Gen X and Gen Y.

They will signify higher salaries of between 20 and 30 per cent for certified HR specialists compared to non-certified ones.
Employers with globally certified HR specialists increases business profitability and employee productivity.

Kelly OCG will be conducting workshop sessions for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certifications starting early April.
